SUMMERTIME!!

This annual event held in the Pocono mountains at the open grounds of the Shawnee Inn in Pennsylvania.  This event organized by Blitzkreig Tuners is definetly on its way to becoming the must attend show of the year.  Nice job guys.  The club started out around 7AM in Chester NY and did the usual group drive to the show.  The drive was really a scenic one and didn’t disappoint with the final roads leading to the Inn.  The drops and tight turns in the road can really give you a roller coaster feeling in your gut.  Really fun drive!   This was probably the best VW/Audi show I have been to since Dubs on Defrost.  The show was dominated by VW's from Mk1 to current models and none of them really disappointed.  From old school OEM plus to slammed and bagged there were some really choice dubs.   Audi brand was represented well with some tight S5's to a classic S3.  Of course most of the Audi's at the show belonged to N.E.R.D. members.  The show didn’t have heavy sponsor representation just a few of the regular vendors including Euroaddiction.net and local sponsors who helped bring this event out to the VW/Audi community.  This really made it an enthusiast's show.  There was no drama (even though they served alcohol) ok there were a few doushebags heckling during the raffle and awards show and the event DJ seemed only to play mixed retro 70's (Onda where are you!) but that was about it.  All in all N.E.R.D swept the show with 11 awards!!!  On the way home we had an incident with a bear crossing in front of Neil’s car when he stopped to point it out we all stopped to look but then Tom's TT died right where the bear was spotted. The rest of the crew came along and it turned into a short little roadside party while we waited for the TT to cool down and restart, I forgot what the issue was but Tom was sure that if we all held hands and danced around the TT it would start, well we didnt dance and it started anyways and we all made our way home. N.E.R.D. members never leave anyone behind! Good times for sure, can’t wait till next year.
